LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING

"Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. A person finds joy in giving an apt reply— and how good is a timely word! The path of life leads upward for the prudent to keep them from going down to the realm of the dead." (Proverbs 15:22-24)

Most of my bad choices in life have been related to lack of humility concerning seeking wise counsel (I was afraid) & avoiding the hard work of training for the upward climb (procrastination or laziness). I still struggle somewhat with these but pain has helped me listen.
